Owners Michael & Ximena Olinger, since purchasing the property that now constitutes the Circle O Lodge and Tree Farm, have built quite an infrastructure consisting of a three-bedroom lodge, roads, laid underground electric power to preserve the natural setting of the lodge and undertaken several conservation programs.
Our mission is to provide a reasonably priced location for families to enjoy a comfortable family-style lodge and a truly unique country experience. It’s a chance to find your own Dreaming Tree to sit under and ponder awhile…
But the Circle O is not just about lodging, the Olinger’s are also members of the American Tree Farm System (ATFS) and the Circle O is certified by the ATFS as a Family Forest and Tree Farm. It hosts a considerable population of walnut and other native hardwood species that are being nurtured and will provide sustainable forest resources for our future generations. In the meantime, a number of agroforestry projects are being researched to find forest products that will provide additional revenue streams for the Circle O. The projects selected will be noninvasive and will not run contrary to our mission to be good stewards of the land. Being good corporate citizens is one of our chief goals and we work in close cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation, the National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), and other organizations to foster good conservation practices on the Circle O.
