St. Louis Oasis RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) is part of the AmeriCorps Seniors network of programs. AmeriCorps Seniors is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency for volunteering, service and civic engagement. CNCS engages millions of Americans in citizen service through its AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors programs and leads the nation’s volunteer and service efforts. Jane Frizzell, RSVP Coordinator

Jane Frizzell is the part-time RSVP Tutoring Coordinator for Linn County. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education from Truman State University, a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Management from Emporia State University, and a certificate in School Administration from Iowa State University. Jane recently retired from a 34-year career as a school teacher- librarian and educational consultant in Iowa. In her new role with Oasis, she looks forward to continuing to be a passionate advocate for literacy development and the love of reading. Jane joined Oasis in July and is actively recruiting tutors and school districts in Linn County.

Marceline Fraternal Order of Eagles #726 Aerie and Auxiliary is a non profit charitable organization. The Eagles actively supports and raises money for 23 different charities. The facility is often used (at no charge) for fund raising benefits for Marceline citizens in need.

The Aerie was instituted on May 25, 1904. The Auxiliary was instituted on May 1, 1927 and surrendered their charter on March 19, 1956. The Auxiliary was re-chartered on May 3, 1964.

The Aerie has had eight Missouri Past State Presidents and the Auxiliary has two members who have served as a Missouri State President. The Marceline Eagles boast a membership of over 700.

There is food every Friday night at the Marceline Eagles, which is located in the former McAllister Creamery building at 301 North Chestnut Street in Marceline. (660-376-9879)

The public is invited to enjoy a reasonably priced Friday night meal and see what the Marceline Eagles has to offer as a member.

Aerie meets every Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Auxiliary meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
